HITTING & LEAD CATCHER INSTRUCTOR
About Connor Olson
Hi, I am Connor Olson. After spending six seasons with the Minnesota Twins, I’m excited to join Defined and bring my experience in Major League Baseball to the program.
Growing up in Plymouth, Minnesota, I stayed close to home after graduating and went to Concordia University, St. Paul to play under Team USA Coach Mark McKenzie. In my four years at Concordia, I won NSIC All-Conference, NSIC Gold Glove, and NSIC All-Academic Awards.
After graduating from Concordia, I was invited to play for the St. Paul Saints. After one season with the Saints, I joined the Minnesota Twins as a Bullpen Catcher. I was lucky enough to spend six years in Major League Baseball and to be a part of 3 Central Division Championships.
While working for the Twins, I spent six off-seasons working at the Blizzard Baseball Academy, and one off-season as an Assistant Coach on the staff of Concordia University, St. Paul where I have helped develop and run hitting and catching programs. From making their youth travel team, to getting a Division I scholarship, I have been blessed to see and assist in players achieving their goals.
Throughout my career playing and working with players at every level, I’ve seen the impacts of bad coaching, I’ve seen the impacts of bad work ethic, and I’ve seen the impacts poor mentality. I’ve been through my own successes and failures, and I’ve coached players through theirs. My goal is to use these experiences to continue helping athletes of all ages reach their potential by developing the proper fundamentals and mentality to be successful baseball players, teammates, and students.
